Tax-Deductible Subsidized Passes and Bulk-Pass Purchases

TransitChek is a commuter benefit program that employers can offer to their employees to help pay for commuting on transit. It saves employers and commuters money because the program takes advantage of federal legislation that allows TAX-FREE dollars to pay for transit fares. Employers can reduce their payroll taxes. Section 132(f) of the Federal tax code allows employers to offer pre-tax purchases of up to $230 per month per employee in 2009 for qualified transit, train or vanpooling benefits.

Employers who buy 300 or more passes receive a 15% discount. Potentially a company can buy 300 passes at a discount and sell them to their employees at the reduced cost. The Employer essentially becomes a ticket outlet for their own employees. Freedom Transit will deliver the tickets to your door and bill you for the passes that are sold to your facility. (Discounts also available for 25-150 passes at 5% and for 151-299 passes at 10%).

Interior signs are to be of 40 pound "show card" stock. It is recommended, but not required, that the signs be laminated for maximum life.

Signs are the property of the advertiser at all times. They may be switched or otherwise updated at any time during the contract.

Adams County Transit Authority does not accept any advertising of tobacco products or of a political nature and reserves the right to reject any advertisement deemed unsuitable for display.

Adams County Transit Authority does not have signs produced for the advertisers but will refer advertisers to several sign makers in the area.
